The cheapest time to fly from the Balkans
The same route can cost twice as much depending on when you travel and when you buy. Here's how to land on the right side of that gap.
Cheapest months
Off-season, prices drop. For most European destinations the best value is:
- Late autumn (October–November)
- Early winter (outside the holidays)
- Late January and February
Summer (July–August) and the holidays are the priciest — if you must travel then, book well ahead.
Cheapest days of the week
- Departing: Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday are usually cheaper than Friday or Sunday.
- Buying: there's no magic day, but mid-week tends to have more cached low fares than the weekend.
How far ahead to buy
- Europe (short hops): the sweet spot is 3–8 weeks before departure.
- Seasonal & holiday routes: 2–4 months ahead — the cheapest seats go first.
- Last minute: occasional deals exist, but it's a gamble.
The biggest lever: flexibility
If your date isn't fixed, the savings are largest. That's why Zbriši searches the cheapest days across the whole month by default — and shows a per-day price calendar on route pages.
Try it: pick a departure city, leave the date approximate, and let the search find the lowest days.
